A new genetic study suggests a lineage of Egyptian pharaohs were subjected to willful genetic manipulation by a technologically advanced civilisation. Some would call this definitive proof that the builders of the pyramids had a strong connection with beings that originated elsewhere in the universe. Stuart Fleischmann and his team have recently published the results of a 7-year study that mapped the genomes of 9 ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. If proven correct, their findings could potentially change the world’s history books.
Fleischmann and his team subjected the precious samples of ancient DNA to a process called Polymerse Chain Reaction (PCR). In the field of molecular biology this technique is often used to replicate and amplify a single copy of a piece of DNA, giving researchers a clear picture of someone’s genetic fingerprint. Eight out of nine samples returned interesting but typical results.

Amenhotep IV was a different king, not like the sons of the other kings, the descendants of the priests or even the locals. He was smart, sensitive, full of himself, and on top of it all, a dreamer. Amenhotep IV was strongly influenced by the priests of Oon (Heliopolis), and when he looked around him, he realized how powerful the priests were, especially those of Amen Ra in Luxor.

Amenhoptep adopted a new name Akhenaton (the messenger and believer of Aten), when he changed his allegiance to the god Aten, who was an old form of the sun god. The god Aten was unlike the other gods of Egypt; he was not depicted in any animal or even human form. He was everything and everywhere. He was the hidden power behind the sun disk; he was the power in the sky, earth, mountains, stars, animals, humans…. everything. Unlike the other religions, the faith of Aten did not stop the locals behind the outer walls of the temples. It invited and welcomed them to share, participate and act in the newly built temples. The temples were not roofed like the other temples, but widely opened to welcome the sun rays which represented the power of the eternal universal god Aten.

Akhenaton ruled from Luxor for about six years and during this time, he was constantly confronted by the strong priests of Amen Ra.He then started building a new city half way between Luxor and Cairo which was to become his new capital. He wanted the new city to be built in an area where no other god had been worshipped before. During those six years, there was a lot of struggle in Thebes. The king ordered his subjects to destroy the images of other gods, and to convert their temples to be temples of his new old god Aten. The royal family and the followers of the new religion, supported by the generals leading the Egyptian army, all moved to the new beautiful city of love, called Amarna. The city, which we can understand from the very little we found, and the descriptions about it, was a wonderful city. When Akhenaton reached his new capital, he promised his god Aten never to leave this city.

Akhenaton believed that a good form was not required to have a perfect after life. After all, god looks straight into the heart and not physical beauty, he believed. When we look at the statues of the king, he looks very different from the other kings before and after his time. He never had a masculine body and a handsome face; on the contrary, his body looked more feminine and his long face, with thick lips, made him look quite ugly. If we look at statues of other humans living at the same time, including the royal family, they all looked similar to him, which might reflect the changes happening in Egypt at that time. Apart from changes in the art scene, Akhenaton also noticed that the written language (hieroglyphics) was very different from the actual spoken language used by the locals. As he wanted to get the people involved, he changed the language and this gave the locals the ability to understand their religion and the history.

Although Akhenaten and his royal family were supported by the army, it was not enough. The priests of Amen Ra, who had their own troops, were very strong, and gradually many members of the Egyptian army joined them. This was the beginning of the end, and the fall of that wonderful star, which shined in the sky of Egypt for a very short period of time. Akhenaten was not just a king and a messenger of god; he was also a poet who left us many hymns. The fact that the king and his beautiful queen Nefertiti were depicted with their children is very unusual in Egyptian history. Akhenaten was a leader of the ancient Egyptian renaissance.

So it isn’t really surprising that The ninth sample belonged to Akhenaten, the enigmatic 14th century BC pharaoh and father of Tutankhamun. A small fragment of desiccated brain tissue had been the source of the DNA sample and the test was repeated using bone tissue but the same results were obtained. One of the culprits was a gene called CXPAC-5, which is responsible for cortex growth. It appears this increased activity in Akhenaten’s genome would suggest he had a higher cranial capacity because of the need to house a larger cortex. But what mutation would have caused a human brain to grow? We have yet to discover such a technique despite years of breakthroughs in genetics. Could this 3,300 year-old evidence point out to ancient genetic manipulation? Was it the work of advanced extraterrestrial beings?

Telomerase (a genetic enzyme) is only expended by two processes: extreme aging and extreme mutation. Genetic and archaeological data suggests Amenhotep IV/Akhenaten lived to about 45 years of age. That is not nearly enough to consume all the chromosomal telomerase, leaving behind one inconvenient but possible explanation. This hypothesis is also backed up by the fact that electron microscope analysis revealed signs of nucleotidic cicatrix, which is a telltale sign of the DNA helix healing after being exposed to strong mutagens. Does this suggest that Akhenaten, one of ancient Egypt’s most mysterious pharaohs, was subjected to genetic modification during his life? If anything, this allegation supports the theory that ancient aliens once visited the civilisation that lived along the banks of the Nile.

If this study is correct, it will trigger an unprecedented paradigm shift. If aliens were actively involved in the life of the most powerful individuals thousands of years ago, does that mean they’ll return? Perhaps they never left at all. But the most important aspect would be the existence of individuals, direct descendants of ancient Egypt’s royal lineage, that still posses the alien genes implanted in their ancestors’ genomes.
