Gaiacomo Gaistaldi

Venice, 1546 

One of the most important cartographers of the sixteenth century was Gaiacomo Gaistaldi.  His skill graced the works like the miniature 1548 Venice edition of Ptolemy and Ramusios Raccolta Di Navigationi et Viaggi 1556. 

 This is Gaistaldi first world map.
